We are slowly getting settled into the new place. I have lots of projects planned, and I thought it was about time to start up the blog again to document them all. I am so happy that we decided to purchase a bit of a fixer upper (more on that later), so we can truly make it our own.
The first thing I've been trying to do to get settled is hang all of the art work we own. Painting and renovating will come soon, but having color on the walls really makes it feel like our home a lot more quickly. I take a lot of pride in all of the work I've been able to collect, or trade with artist friends, so it's important to me to showcase it in a really great way.
Gallery walls really are the best. They can make a big statement in a room, and don't need to cost a lot. Can't decide which pieces you want to display? That's ok, you can display them all! I've spent a lot of time collecting small pieces that mean something to me, or remind me of places I've visited, or are just really fantastic visually.
For this wall in our living room I wanted to keep the palate pretty grayscale to keep with the theme of the room, but add in some pops of color throughout. What do you think?
